It's a good question to ask and honestly, I suppose so.
The main reason is that they don't share the same passion for a few things that I do so while our interests might overlap in certain areas, it doesn't in other areas.

So if you were doing something that might interest someone but not others then it might be a bore to listen to.
As an example, I couldn't care less about what happened at the party or some late dance night club (but I always listen anyways) but I am sure that they don't care about hiking, political reforms in other countries and the like that I discuss with others (but that would bore to death other friends).
I wouldn't worry about it too much as I feel that it is normal unless you are drastically changing a lot of things in your life (and even when you do, it eventually becomes routine again).

In my experience, doing things together is what really makes a big difference like going to events together or doing sports together.
