Ranch is great with a bread base and cheese topping, and it meshes surprisingly well with tomato. You know how people like dipping ranch with garlic bread? It's pretty similar theory. If anything ranch maintains the fluffiness of a bread better because it's thicker than ketchup or marinara in general.
