Keep in mind a few things.

Teaching tends to be a low paid job. Yes, you get more vacation time than the average job, but you also get paid less than the average job as well. It's a trade off.

Also, not all teachers get the summers off if you teach summer school.

Teachers also tend to have homework just like their students. You know how you hate to write papers and take tests? Well, as a teacher, you're going to have to grade those papers and tests. That's your new homework is grading papers and tests and such. Most jobs don't have homework, but teaching does. Imagine you have 30 students in your class. You're going to have to grade 30 papers as your homework....
