If you want to prevent rents from going up significantly, the solution is to expand housing construction either there or in other parts of the city. The issue of rents going up is due to the lack of new supply to match the growth in demand that most cities are going through. Population growth rates in cities can be pretty high. The real culprits in all this are the zoning laws and NIMBY people who fight against any new construction at all costs. You would have to switch to the JMZ line and go to the Flushing Ave stop (or one of the couple before it), which I think requires leaving the station and paying the fare again because you are going from an underground train to an above ground train. --- I may not go down in history, but I will go down on your sister. ...
