Just to further expound on this, 3 days is customarily given to account for relatives that may live out of town. If your grandpa lived far away, you may need a day to travel there and a day to travel back as well as a day for the funeral.

If the funeral is local, and you would literally just be sitting on your butt playing video games the other two days, then you really should only take the one. The three days is a maximum, meant to be interpreted as "up to 3 days." The bereavement time off is meant to be used to attend to bereavement activities, such as attending the funeral, not just to have extra vacation days thanks to the fact that a relative you rarely interact with has passed away.

Bottom line. Taking the full 3 days is cringy. Don't be cringy.
