Yes, but Simon Belmont wasn't announced at E3. So if they reveal him, then it's pretty clear the leaker had post-E3 information.

And if they don't reveal him people will still defend and try to justify the leaker all the way up to release even when it's clear it's made up, just like last time. I don't get why people don't ever learn their lesson. It's only been about 5 years since the Smash 4 prerelease era.


I mean Duck Hunt and Bowser Jr and such were leaked in Smash 4 so I'm not sure that's a great argument. >_>

I'm not saying that there are NEVER leaks, I'm just saying blindly believing leaks that happen to get some stuff right is always a huge problem, because it never turns out to be completely true that way (meanwhile the leak you're talking about was the ESRB leak, which not only occurred a month before release when the game was being rated, but also had video footage. That's completely different from a random list of fan wishes posted on some message board right after the game is announced that happens to get some stuff right, sometimes by accident).
