Incredible -- I didnt realize how long of a streak this had become. Eponas been a big success this year with her 8-seed and victories over Ike and Mordin, but she wasnt my first representation for Nintendo. Who remembers Team Chocolate? Those are just personal rallies, but it goes even further than that. The one time I led the Nomination Rally Tournament, all three of its elected winners were Nintendo-games that made it into Best Game Ever 2: Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow, Star Fox 64, and Donkey Kong Country 2. What? Whoa! For real?! No offense to Nintendo as Im a lifelong-fan who enjoyed each of those rallies, but this is exactly why it cannot be: its time for some variation on my end. I apologize to Nintendo-fans across Board 8...hopefully someone else can take a stand for Metroid, Cranky Kong, and the Great Deku Tree. This is a bold step up from my original announcement of how this rally wouldnt be related to Pokemon. Between this upgraded update and still avoiding characters from League of Legends, were quickly running out of new characters with potentialbut its okay, dont worry. The rally is almost completely out of non-information -- the wait is almost over. Get pumped! On top of not being from Nintendo or League of Legends... this board LOVES Pokemon and they really K'd some A in our last contest. MEN: What? No mercy! ...but I couldnt commit. He remains a front-runner for the day I win the Guru, but he isnt exciting enough for a rally outside of being fun fodder. It would have been a lie to say he has strength, wildcard capabilities, or even hope for an off-site rally. Other THQ-on-N64 fans likely agree: AKI Man would have been a tough sell. For the AKI Maniacs out there still saddened by this near-opportunity, Im truly sorry. You may take my torch and run. I trust Board 8 with this inside scoop so maybe I can earn your trust again: youll prefer who we support instead. I found a new jackpot of Rallyable Men last week not from Nintendo or League of Legends... ...you know, Rallyable might not be a real word and Rallyable Men sounds weird anyway.
