I'm not saying they're equal to a brand new fighter, but people are acting like they can just slap a new model on an existing character and call it a day. All you have to do is look at fan mods for Smash games to see how janky they look when the time isn't put into the process. These echo fighter have unique animations, voices and there are probably tons of minor glitches that have to be worked on before they can be shown in a released state.
