Sims can be very fun/funny if not taken seriously.

Definitely agree. I like spinning silly tales with it. Sadly, a lot of my "stories" have gotten shelved for one reason or another, though.

The best one I pulled off was in Sims 2 with a slut I named "Amora." She was sleeping with three guys: A random NPC, her mailman, and a cop which I controlled. I had the cop propose to her. Another of her boyfriends kissed her in his presence. He smacked her silly, then... lost a fight to the other guy (I don't know how since his fitness stat was at 7 or 8). He evicted her. She gended up pragnent with babby and grew to Elder. Unfortunate ending for her, but hey, it was a fun story to spin.

I tried in Sims 3 to have a pair of dating teenagers to instigate their single parents dating (her mother had died; his father had left). That... was boring.

I haven't done many storylines in Sims 4 and I've barely gotten any Sims married. Most of my playtime outside of character creation/outfits for the girls/house building has been getting a feel for what the game has to offer with my initial Sim (until I maxed all her skills) or the sorority (was originally going to have a fraternity, too, for a lot of rivalry/dating, but that never happened). Or waffling on which hairstyle looks better on September (from the sorority):

I change my mind a lot on that one. She looks good either way. I prefer the braid, but it reminds me of her. Which do you guys like?
