But its just so incredibly long. Ive never watched an anime thats even close to this long (400+ episodes of Precure is as good as it gets). Maybe Ill read the manga someday, but thats pretty damn long too. It might be cool to check out a movie or something someday, but Im honestly not that interested in a little kids show like this. The premise isnt super interesting either. Also feels like one of those shows where theyd get away from the premise to doing something else pretty quick. And the good at job but always broke cliche isnt something I ever particularly enjoy. Ghost of the Fireflies was bad, Barefoot Gen was bad, The Wind Rises was bad. Is there anything that makes this one better than the rest? Im not usually that interested in shounen anime. Taking place in China and such seems cool, but Id have to have some better motivation to actually watch it I guess. The rest of the anime doesnt seem to really be in this vein though. I probably wouldve watched it if it came out when I was watching anime, but alas, I didnt start watching anime until 2008...
