I'm kinda hard pressed to think of anything I thought was really great that ended up being unsuccessful. Also I too prefer the original FMA to brotherhood. It felt more mystery horror compared to the more blatantly shonen action of brotherhood. Also much prefer the origin of homunculus in the original. It's a little crazy to me how much hate the original gets in some circles. That anime was in a LOT of top favorite lists before brotherhood came out. --- I'm ninja (you can't see me) ...
