there is nothing "fake" about giving them tampons or condoms or sunscreen or bug spray because the people who make the show openly say they do that.
Yeah, and like if they didn't give them those, the entire show would just be watching the contestants getting medivac'd.
Remember early seasons when they'd give everyone coats / gloves too? I suppose we could make the show more "real" by removing them but then someone would have to be sent home in Africa whenever they tried to get water from one of the urns.
