I'm pretty sure that Trump won't win again. He was a "hail Mary" candidate, but he seems not to be the big Papa that many who voted for him thought he might be. But, I think I may eat my words if the economy continues going strong because I think that is a strong predictor of winning a reelection.

But that only goes so far.

I mean, Trump has the strongest economy since the 90s working in his favour and his poll numbers are still underwater. He's currently sitting just north of 35-40% - that's lower than any of Obama's approval ratings across his entire presidency, even when unemployment remained stubbornly high and the ACA was considered unpopular. It's actually kind of impressive that Trump has managed to be as unpopular as he is in spite of the booming economy.

More worryingly for Trump, the economy is not registering as an important issue on voters minds at present. The two most pressing issues, as indicated by the polls, are "Corruption" and "Health Care" - that's bad news for Republicans, because Trump polls poorly on both of those subjects.
