| GeneralKenobi85 09/17/18 9:39:49 PM #8: | The first is a must see as it's generally considered the best in the franchise. Plus it sets the stage for pretty much every other film in the franchise. You could say Godzilla has a couple different continuities, but the events of the first film are almost always the origin of Godzilla's interactions with humanity. After that, just choose what you want to watch based on who Godzilla is fighting. The original Godzilla vs. Mothra seems to be considered the second best Showa Godzilla movie. I still haven't seen it, but I imagine it's good. There are some other Showa movies I need to watch some day, but I've seen almost all of Heisei and all of Millennium. --- Ah, yes, the Negotiator: General Kenobi <sneaky beeping> ...
