| BTB 09/21/18 9:48:49 PM #36: | It doesn't add new content and we really don't bill it as a difficulty hack - it takes the core ideas that FF6 initially presented and works with them in a way that the original game didn't. The huge cast was originally offset by the fact that it was entirely homogeneous - here, there's a lot more diversity, with characters like Cyan being able to be built as a brick wall or a physical powerhouse, where someone like Relm is more of a speedy healer/nuker. I wrote an article the other month about game design as sort of a promotional tie-in to the upcoming 1.10 release of Brave New World... which is looking to be the biggest one by FAR yet: http://btb2.free.fr/index.html#post072818 As for BNW itself, I'm far enough into the development of 1.10 that I'd suggest waiting for it if you really only want to give it one pass, but 1.9 has been stable and well-tread for nearly a year now. --- "Good luck and good gaming." -Klaravoyia ...
