Topic	So now that the Kavanaugh nomination is effectively dead...

Is it fair to automatically assume that accusations like this are credible? Certainly it should be investigated, but to believe someone with no evidence just doesn't seem right to me. If we're going to believe this with no evidence, what is to stop political opponents from shutting each other down like this again and again? The second accusation seems to have a lot of corroborating witnesses though Didnt the New Yorker article literally say they couldnt find any corroborating witnesses though? I thought they said they had not only someone who could provide similar details, that there was also a bunch of people who had had an email conversation about this a couple months back? The New Yorker has not confirmed with other eyewitnesses that Kavanaugh was present at the party. The magazine contacted several dozen classmates of Ramirez and Kavanaugh regarding the incident.
