The second disc of Xenogears isn't the way it is because of funding or FFVIII. It is because at the time Xenogears was being made Square had a rule that all projects must finish in 2 years. And also because 90% of the development staff on Xenogears was fresh, young talent that had to taught and nurtured at the same time as making the game. Funny how you forgot to add the second part of this LMAO. "It was a rough way to end it, and I felt like if we do that, then the players will not be satisfied," Takahashi told me.
