Well, I don't know if this falls in the same lines as your smoker analogy, but it's clear to us that you aren't really receiving self-gratification. Let's keep using the smoking example. You know how most people get over an obsessive behavior (like smoking)? They replace it with something else that takes up just as much concentration and time. Sure, you might feel like you're going overboard doing XYZ activity every time you want to smoke, because hey, that happens A LOT during a day, but at least it isn't what you used to do, right?
