murder is objectively worse than rape.

Well I'd rather die than be sodomised, so...

People say that, but victims who were raped by armed assailants never seem to take the option of being shot or stabbed. People will go to almost unimaginable lengths to stay alive -- including cannibalism to avoid starvation -- so it seems more likely that victims would do what it takes to survive.

More to the point, murder is objectively worse than rape.

No, please, explain in detail why you feel that rape is worse than murder. We're all dying to hear you explain the rationale behind your ridiculous opinion.

Anybody who could make a convoluted justification for murder could make a convoluted justification for rape (or, more realistically, an excuse for it). Likewise, people who could justify concealing a murder could easily justify covering up a rape.

Well, there's self-defense, accidental, revenge, cold-blooded. There's some intricacy to murder...

Rape...mmm, not so much.

Not really true, since for starters if you sleep with a drunk chick even when you're also drunk, you can be convicted of rape. And there are legislators trying to push through affirmative consent laws where passive consent (ie, she doesn't say no or otherwise refuse, but she's not enthusiastic) is considered rape. And that's not even touching on AoC laws where it's legally rape even if the girl not only lies about her age, but is carrying a fake ID attesting to that age.

And, while you somehow think "revenge" is a justifiable reason for murder (which it absolutely isn't), I should point out that rape has *also* been used for revenge both as a cultural practice in some nations (usually retaliating for rape or even a consensual sexual encounter outside marriage) and on a personal basis in other places. But, again, "revenge" isn't a justifiable reason for those kinds of crimes.

If somebody I trusted murdered somebody, I'd probably be the guy they called to help them dispose of the body.

Which I imagine is the problem with owning a shovel and a pickup truck.
