And he has to acknowledge the people who have donated to him. He seems to feel that a lengthy prestream is just part of doing business. In reality, he doesn't want to play games anymore, so he wastes as much time as possible before getting to the gameplay. And his prestreams give him the opportunity to rant about whatever is bothering him to an audience that is mostly sympathetic.
