In all honesty, I haven't seen any clear stats on the matter, but between changes in popular genres, the increasing popularity of multiplayer games (where the finite single-player campaign tends to be an afterthought, if it exists at all), and the fact that we're all just better at video games (and can therefore complete them faster), I actually wouldn't be surprised if there hasn't been that much of a change. Kyuubi4269 posted... the development time has gone up, they should have a lot more to say for their effort. That's a tricky thing to say, since there are so many more metrics than game length to use in making that comparison. --- This is my signature.
