Granted, the anime adaptation can only do so much, but I still enjoyed what little of the story that showed me. Great stuff. (See, now, that's an example of a high school anime that doesn't suck, IMO.) Mainly cuz it exists to be a tragic backstory for college students that you get to experience firsthand. I really thought it was nice that for most of the VN Haruki was a couple years older than the vast majority of VN protags. It felt like it was trying to connect to that audience.
