It looks like the Judiciary Committee is pushing through to have a vote Friday, regardless of how the hearing Thursday goes.

So I guess there's that.

Yeah.

One of the GOP Senators (Corker? Don't feel like looking it back up right now.) said that they may not vote that day but ~regular order~ requires a 3 day advance notice so they scheduled it today ~just in case~ they're ready to vote.)

I dunno, I still feel like this is all part of some kind of maximum pressure campaign by McConnell/Grassley/GOP leadership on the handful of Senators that might waffle on this. I do think Murkowski sounds like a no - though she did walk back one of her stronger statements a bit a while ago - but the others? I don't trust them to actually vote no if a vote is forced. Not yet at least. I've written Collins off completely. She's absolutely a yes vote and has said some absurd BS in support of that.

The scales in my mind are tipping back towards "Vote held and confirmed" but I don't know if it's crossed over to the other side of 50/50 yet. I just don't know how the hearing doesn't make things worse for them. They even went and hired outside counsel to handle the questioning instead of doing it themselves. Like, wow.

You think Jones and Manchin are gonna vote no?
