To be fair that was when discos weren't as essential as they are now, that was still 3* magicite/old Torment days, bursts were still viable then unlike how they're 95% trash currently. Oh and the 33 draw was free anyway so you got what you paid for, hell I only got 1/11 fourth Y'shtola BSB dipe on the free banner on the second anniversary, it sucked but it's wasn't anything painful. Nowhere near as as bad a crapping out on the guaranteed USB banner or an entire RoP.

I mean if you don't find the game fun at all right now, that's one thing, but if it's just a matter of "I can't do the earth magicite RIGHT NOW and feel like I should have gotten everything I wanted with 2x11" uhhh, just be patient, and maybe try and save 250-300 mythril on your big banners next time rather than spreading yourself thin and trying to catch all the rabbits by going for earth fest + type-0 + all the luckies (vanilla luckies are way worse a mythril trap than going for Agrias USB1 btw, even if some did pay off for you)

115 mythril and around 20 bucks of gems, and there was a lot of stuff I wanted, the 5 discos, Maria's LM/Glint, Rinoa's earth infusion LM or an extra Emperor BSB for an earth boosting rod. Even Cinque's stuff would have been decent for the T-0 torment. Pretty much everything except Galuf and Penelo's BSBs would have been good but of course crappy RNG had to give me those two dupes and Red XIII's LM without the chain which might as well be worthless.

I wasn't asking to get everything, I was simply aiming for a clear on King Behemoth to get his esper, not a week 1 sub30. The only earth mage relics I have are some BSBs and Rinoa/Rydia's OSBs, so I obviously need better relics if I want to even get a poverty win on King Behemoth.There was only 3 duds on that banner, only 2 if I got Red XIII's chain, yet somehow in 4/33 I ended up with those three duds. How is that unreasonable to at the very least expect to get one of Maria's Glint/LM or Rinoa's Earth infusion LM in three pulls?

This is what's discouraging people and causing them to quit, getting shitty draws like this! BSBs should have been retired months ago but they're still plaguing banners as mythril sponges, even in Japan. I was going to pull on the upcoming FF14 and 11 banners in the future but the BSBs are making me reluctant with how I got fucked on this one, the only one I feel safe on now till fourth anniversary is the upcoming FF1 banner because there's only 1 BSB and it's actually useful since it's a shout clone for a rare realm.

Besides you said yourself that even with 200+ mythril you can still get nothing worthwhile, I don't see how doing pulls once in while for torment or magicite weakness is really all that worse of a strategy than saving up for months and getting mostly useless dupes, like y'know, like I did on last fest's banner 1? If you want to say Type-0 was a bad idea fine, but doing a couple pulls on FF8 was justified since everything was useful except Laguna's Burst and the only dupe I had was Squall's BSB2, and it would have helped with King Behemoth if I got Rinoa's AOSB, glint or dualcast LM. If you're just aiming for good relics in general it might even be more efficient to do this since you don't have to worry about dupes as much over drawing on the same banner multiple times. Besides it all comes down to RNG in the end no matter how you plan, shit RNG can get you no matter how safe the banner looks, and that's what frustrates people the most.
