Are any of you planning on watching, or already started, The Girl In Twilight? This show flew under my radar when I was looking at shows for this season, but an /a/ thread about it piqued my interest. I just want say that HOLY SHIT there was absolutely nothing about that MyAnimeList description that would lead me to expect something like this happening.
After watching the first episode, and that scene in particular, I'm in absolute shock. Between the girls ending up in an alternate world and the "other self" that Asuka meets in that world, I'm getting some serious Black Rock Shooter vibes from this show. I'm guessing the other four girls in the group will have "other selves" show up later. I went from not knowing this show existed to being hyped as fuck for the next episode within a span of 18 hours... this could be the "awesome but criminally underwatched" show of this season.

I'd say yes as long as they at least have a small connection to anime or the Japanese style of games, which may or may not include anime-style character designs. So stuff like Monster Hunter, Soul Calibur, or Pokemon would be totally fine. Stuff like Call of Duty or Madden, not so much.

I suppose in a way. But I have to see more to make sure it isn't Battle Girl High School and Schoolgirl Strikers tier. They are similar battle school girl shows and very low tier. The first episode was good, but if its like those two shows I dont expect the battles and story to be anywhere near Black Rock Shooter. ---
