Considering the travesty that was Eddie Brock/Venom in Spider-Man 3, it doesn't surprise me at all that this movie is getting a better reaction. Couldn't agree more. They took such a massive shit on Venom in Spider-Man 3. It was extremely offensive. He's such a cool character, and they made him into such an afterthought for the movie. And Topher Grace is about as much Eddie Brock as Oprah Winfrey is Black Widow. Just a terrible decision. Just from the trailers alone, even if Tom Hardy's Venom has a cheesy story and cringe-worthy writing.....at least the character LOOKS and SOUNDS the part for the first time in cinematic history.
