I still eat meat and am not trying to dissuade others from doing so. After looking through the upcoming California propositions I'm surprised to see one related to animals.

To my understanding the definition of free range and other lingo related to the living conditions of animals might vary or be vague depending on who you ask. At a glance it seems this proposition is trying to narrow down how animals are treated but in my opinion stating that animals cannot be confined in a cruel manner might still be kinda vague.

Personally I feel there could be a balance between how they're treated and the cost of production. I'm willing to stomach, no pun intended, the extra cost if it means Babe and friends are better treated before meeting their makers. Of course what that balance is might be beyond me.

What are your thoughts on the treatment of animals before going to the slaughterhouse?

Comments and opinions are appreciated,

Thank you
