You would need to survey people who smoked pot in Colorado not just survey accidents in Colorado and see if there was an increase of any kind. It would probably have to be a longer term study.

Correlation isn't causation after all. Accidents might have gone up for any number of reasons


Correlation isn't causation, but that doesn't mean that studies that examine results after a change are useless. they just aren't definitive.
