Weird seeing people get fired for what they tweet when they are conditioned to think what they are saying is okay from the echo chambers they go to.
Calling people rapists and racists who are the people you are trying to sell a product to is not ever gonna work out.
I mean as someone whose pretty deep into comics twitter Wendig was notably abrasice especially lately in response to The Last Jedi and Comicsgate stuff.
Like Gail Simone takes these people on as well but manages to keep wits about her where Chuck after a while became so consumed with going to war with trolls that he was tweeting about literally nothing else - barely even speaking about his actual work. That said this is mainly more "lol marvel". We have a creator actually moving the needle? Better fire his ass to keep everyone in line.
That said, this is comics and he will be back. His stuff sold quite well and I half expect you'll see him turn up in the DC solicits by March.
I have heard his star wars books are very bad.
They are AWFUL
