| Big Bob 10/13/18 11:12:57 PM #39: | A couple of notes on Kazama Kiryu: Firstly, "Kiryu" is the character's name. "Kazama" is his family name. Japanese names are backwards compared to western names. The Yakuza series has been around for a while, but Yakuza 0 was released in 2017, and was the first game to gain any real traction. Since then, Sega has released Yakuza Kiwami, a remake of the first game, Yakuza 6, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 (a remake of the second game). In fact, there is a second Yakuza character in the contest: Goro Majima. However, I doubt Majima will beat Master Chief. At best, he'll pull a Felix and embarrass him. ALSO, it has been leaked that Yakuza Kiwami will be one of the free PS+ games for November. However, as I write this, I realize that the Kiryu/Bomberman match will take place in October, so you can actually discount this point entirely. I imagine that discussions around this match will be a lot different if the contest were delayed for two weeks. In any case, Bomberman lost to Phoenix Wright before Wright was in Marvel vs. Capcom, and he hasn't exactly done much to gain relevance since then compared to the rising popularity of Yakuza, so I'm going Kiryu. --- Come watch me on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/gameryogi ...
