This so hard. Pretty much everybody who says that, "Oh, there are signs!", cites stuff like boys playing with dolls or having tea parties, which really has nothing to do with the gender itself (doubly so since it's a trope also associated with homosexuals).

And given that society is overcompensating on transgender issues, you're bound to get a lot of little boys who don't have dysmorphia but are convinced by outside influences that they should transition because they lack the context of their actual gender. Transitioning may be the right move for some people, but it's also going to be a mistake for others.
