This, and when I was 5 I couldn't even read, what makes someone think a child that age has a firm grasp on a complex topic like sexuality or gender? And no way a 5 year old could be able to say things like in the first post.

I hope some of the people here never have children.

No one is talking about giving the kids hormone replacement therapy at 5, but yes they should be able to explore gender roles.

That said you don't have to be a woman to wear a dress. So if it has been a constant thing until they are 7 or 8 they would be in therapy to see if it is something they are going to want to do maybe start on puberty blockers until they are 13 and can make the decision how they want to proceed with puberty.
