On the subject of the future of Zelda: I absolutely loved Breath of the Wild. It's probably the only open-world game I've ever enjoyed. But I really, really don't want the next Zelda game to be BotW 2. They'll never be able to capture the same magic of exploring Hyrule again, not after I've already done it once, and I'd much prefer a return to the "intricately designed experience" form of game design.

Also, I would dispute that every Zelda after OoT was just OoT again - Majora's Mask, in particular, strikes me as a radically different game, despite playing exactly the same and using the same models.

they'll probably just make Breath of the Wild 2, released in 2020, releases as a good but not amazing game.

I saw my brother play through Breath of the Wild. I thought it seemed like a generic open-world RPG, gorgeous for sure, but kinda just like GTA 5 but in Hyrule. I guess I was just looking for more innovation.

I think now that their handheld and console divisions are slowly merging, I think theyll more or less alternate between guided experiences and open world freedom from game to game

Kinda like Forza I guess, which is an odd comparison
