Rant:
A number of my nominations are known as Cantopop, much like how j-pop or k-pop is defined). It used to be very popular in the 70s-90s, even getting some following in Japan, China, Taiwan and South East Asia. This past 20 or so years has seen it go steadily down the shithole to the point that not even the locals care very much anymore. I prefer to listen to anime songs and VGM than whatever crap they come up with these days, and I kind of envy my parents who could personally experience that golden period.
