He asked for help alleviating his anger, not becoming a douchebag.

If you're angry, exercise and/or buy a punching back.

Doesn't exercise release endorphines in your brain just like drugs? I want solutions to a mental issue, what u described would kick the can down the road but wouldn't solve the root of the problem.

Seek. Professional. Help.

Dont be like so many other people who refuse it despite obviously needing it. Trying to help yourself is nothing to be ashamed of. It's astrength. It's the weak person who says, "what good will that do, why bother?"

I don't trust professionals. I'd get better advice from a hobo on the street. Literally.

Which sounds exactly like what so many say... and no you wouldn't. You think advice from crackheads is better than someone with a PHD in psychology?

Yes. At least crackheads will tell you their own story, while a professional will only tell you what you're doing wrong, thereby crushing your spirit and inflating their pocket.

Yes, you can learn from a crackheads story. I do not relate to a vast majority of professionals, but I know for a fact that objective and scientifically sound advice from a grounded individual, be they a professional or not, is helpful. Sure, I would agree a majority of professionals are rich kids with little practical advice for someone who has struggled. There are many who struggled, and came from places you personally know. To disregard this is to disregard obvious fact.
