I also agree that Cissnei should get saves instead of Vivi. He's too dangerous! But such a great character... Minwu yes, for sure. But to be more pointed. ANYONE except Laguna after top 8. Squall was weaker than normal, Light was fractured, Vanille is Vanille, Minwu is from a game no one played. Forgot who the rest were, but i very much remember saying around round 20 when everyone was saying Cloud was a lock for finals that if thats true I dont want to play VIII in the finals, whoever between Squall and Laguna. As those 2 would be tough outs. The implication being I dont really think anyone else would be a tough out.
