Note2: Boo_Mario is working on a script to automate bracket entry (like he's doing for BOP) but it's not ready just yet. I want to get this topic up early so we don't miss out on some brackets, but if you wait until tomorrow you might be able to save yourself some typing.

Welcome to the Guru Contest for this huge, intense 2018 CBX bracket! Normally we try to launch this right around bracket lockdown time, but with four matches happening every day we're going to try to get everything entered a little sooner this year. If you've never played before the Guru is a competition open to everyone on B8, just post your bracket in this topic and we'll get it uploaded to the website which will track everyone's progress automatically from now through Christmas when a winner is raised to everlasting fortune and fame. Before you enter though just keep in mind the two parts of the Guru Contract:

1. You must congratulate the winner in your board signature and keep that up for two weeks.
2. You will owe one of your nominations for the next Contest to the winner, who gets to pick any entrant of their choice for us all to support.

If that sounds good then it's bracket posting time! There's a prefered method for posting your bracket this year. Post a link to your bracket directly using the source code, saving yourself some typing. Follow along with these steps:

1. https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/features/cbx_entry In Chrome you can right click and select View Page Source
2. Do a search for <table class="bracket"> (should be around line 262), highlight from there to the end of the bracket aka <th colspan="4">Start Again</th> (around line 1380) and Copy
3. Go to https://jsfiddle.net/ and Paste into the box titled HTML
4. On the top black bar click Run, then click Save. Your url bar will update with a new, unique link.
6. Paste that link in here.

Doing that will get us only your bracket though so post your TB manually alongside the link.

Clarification 1- the Guru should be identical to your "official" prize-winning (if you're eligible) bracket, not what you "meant to put." Double check https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/features/cbx_entry NOW to make sure you're not stuck with a misclick come lockdown time!

Clarification 2- if you're still not sure about some picks, DON'T POST YOUR BRACKET YET! You'll have 48 hours after lockdown to get it entered; we'd rather have you submit a little late versus having 13 corrections for us to make on the website later.
