I found the overall plot to be extremely boring, but I think generally the episodes as standalones vary between "pretty good" and "top tier anime". It's also sort of weird because the series is apparently about death games, but I actually think the best episodes are the ones that don't have the sort of dark psychological drama you would expect from that label.
