i can't go to a concert it's too loud for my old weathered ears

i can't possibly go out to meet people at a bar i'm too old for that

i can't learn to play a new instrument i'm too old

i can't go to college and get a degree i'm too old

i can't learn how to ski/snowboard i'm too old

literally just add i'm too old after nearly any "can't" statement. i've known a lot of people that use it as an excuse to not grow as a person or get stuck in their comfort zones.
