Because they're actively trying to kill the show, kinda like Macfarland is trying to kill family guy and the writers of Spongebob and Fairly Oddparents are trying to kill those shows, they want out but they can't quit, they're hoping they can make the networks cancel them Well yeah, I thought that was pretty obvious by the #cancelSouthPark hashtag at the end of every episode lol.
