As I said last night, I think it might have went on a bit too long. As Mac pointed out, everything after ~~Amara was shot~~ felt kind of unnecessary. I also thought the two halves of the case felt a little too distinct. There's obviously a throughline there, but you could have turned this in to 6-5 and 6-6 and I probably wouldn't have batted an eye. I did appreciate Apollo a ton here, though, and glad he finally got a real 'final' case with some real resolution. I'd be all for another solo Apollo game at this point (though as I alluded to, SoJ might as well have been AJ2 already). Final case rankings probably something like 2-4 > 3-5 > 6-5 > 5-5 > 1-4 > 4-4? Maybe? It's tough, they all so good except 4-4, and its been like 10 years since I've played the first three, so my memory is rusty. As for the game as a whole, it's definitely super hit or miss. 6-3 and 6-5 were good, the rest of the cases I'm not particularly enthralled with. I think the new characters were mostly a bust. I liked Rayfa a lot, Datz was good, and Nahyuta was fine, but he really didn't have any character development until the very end, and even then it wasn't much. All the case-specific characters I don't care about at all. And I've got to say, the translators got super lazy with the name puns, especially with the Khura'inese citizens. Rheel Neh'mu? Give me a break. With the returning characters, Apollo definitely stole the show. I was really glad to have Ema back too. Athena and Phoenix were fine, though Pheonix felt a little out of character in the first half of 6-5. I understand he was under duress, but something still seemed off about his character to me during that trial. I was disappointed we didn't get more Maya, but it was definitely nice to have her around again.
