Topic	I've started playing Dark Souls for the first time! :D spoilers

It respects your ability to beat bosses by reading patterns. It respects your willingness to go off the beaten path. It even provides the tools to help you progress if you just can't do it on your own (the summoning system). You're getting mad at the game for trying to teach you that it doesn't work like other games, and you're asking us how to make it play like other games. It doesn't. At first it seems like a game with incomprehensible rules until you realize it doesn't actually have any rules.
