Advocating police beating people for anything is madness.

So if someone ran at a cop with a gun he was firing in one hand and a machete he was swinging in the other, while screaming "I'm going to kill you, then murder 18 people then tie up your wife and rape your kids in front of them before beating her to death with them!"

Extreme example I know, but the reality is cops deal with violent criminals on a daily basis. The idea that there is no scenario where they need to use physicality is nonsensical.
Not saying they can't defend themselves, just can't beat people. She was already restrained
