| action52 10/21/18 9:30:31 PM #46: | Look, I came of age in the Carvey/Meyers/Hartman era, so that will always be my favorite. But there have been plenty of funny people who came from the show after that. Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Andy Samberg (and the rest of Lonely Island of course), Bobby Moynihan, Tracy Morgan, Maya Rudolph... probably there are plenty more I'm forgetting. But some absolutely brilliant comedians have been on that show since the days I watched it regularly. And I'm sure plenty more funny people will be on the show in the years to come. I am also sure there will be old people complaining that the show isn't funny anymore, just like some of my aunts and uncles complained that it wasn't funny anymore when I was watching it. Only the first five "not ready for prime time players" seasons are funny to them. Of course it wasn't everybody--my parents still enjoyed it, even though they weren't their favorites. So it's possible to be an old person who likes old things without dismissing everything that comes after. I'm glad that I'm more like them. --- i am truley sorry for your lots ...
