The game has to be a bit more hostile/defensive to the player in that case. I don't think it's much more of a stretch than 999/VLR though. Those narrative perspectives had some unreliability in them too. After all, it's the same twist. The player is Zero. It's the same damn thing that Uchikoshi has been using since Ever17.
