Kind of a silly thing to say when like 90% of this board does the exact same thing, only their "blog" is on B8 itself.

See I think it becomes more normal when there's a community behind it. Board 8 has sort of a culture and history of caring about these largely irrelevant contests, and I can get behind being invested in them when you've been apart of GameFAQs for so long. This guy's blog largely just comes across as him ranting into the void (that is the internet as a whole) about something that 99% of people stopped caring about a decade ago.

There's nothing wrong with promoting the contest a bit, right? Make it seem like it's more than it is?

Of course, KoopaTV has lots lots lots more than just citing GameFAQs polls for stuff, but the site covered the 2013 contest and after because that's when it was made. Would've done Game of the Decade too if the site was around then (started in 2013), since I've been lurking every Contest Stats topic for that whole time.

For characters and games specifically, the site has a pro-story/pro-character narrative that's supposed to run counter to Miyamoto's Sticker Star philosophy, so the character contests are a good way to not only celebrate that, but a good excuse to see how far our Ace Attorney fanboy/fangirl-ism goes. And it's a good chance to talk about a lot of things we wouldn't normally write about.

(And there are some hints of self-deprecation throughout.)

We all know Trump is like L-Block though. The Russians created and backed him, plus hes a joke character that managed to win the election contest once, with him and his brand probably struggling from here on out lol. L-Block is also in many respects a tool of the Russians, just like Trump lol.

Sure, I appreciate you liking what I said :).

I don't think anyone else will use it, plus if they did I'm not sure if they would ask about giving credit anyway, and if for some reason it happens to get popular at least I'll know it was me.

If somehow you are able to slip a reference in there about me (though like I said you don't have to), that would be appreciated as well.

This'll probably be, like, 2019 or 2020.
