I don't recall a cougar killing me in a single hit. In GTAV though, they can definitely one-shot you. Not directly, but I've had situations where a cougar's delivered the hit, and before I could get back on my feet to deal with it, a different wild animal / second cougar (or rarely, the same cougar) finishes me off. --- Proud to be part of the 1% of society that's smart enough to realise Australia is not real.
