The characters were forgettable, the missions added nothing, and the whole 'twilight of the outlaw' storyline is basically a rehash of the first game, except it's even less justifiable here since it's a prequel. TLoU isn't really my sort of game, though, so I never played it and can't really compare. What chapter are you in? I think the characters are really good, especially Arthur, and Dutch maintains to be an intriguing character right to the end. The story is simple, but well executed. It's a great story of redemption, loyalty, disillusionment and family. There's also themes of impermanence and some cool sociopolitical themes of industrialization, modernity etc. I would have though a history major like you would have appreciated it. --- "Death is so terribly final, while life is full of possibilities." ...
