Why? Because all it does is add fuel to the fire. We HAVE to be over-critical about games, because if we aren't, then several people will fall into the "money trap" and regret it later once they've emptied their bank account on online micro-transactions plus subscription fees, as well as carrier data usage fees for mobile games.
