I previously said movies 2 and 3 were based on Yokai Watch 3, but I was kinda wrong since both came out before YW3. Movie 2 was actually based on Yokai Watch Blasters, namely the additional storyline in the Moon Rabbit Crew expansion. And movie 3 was an original story that was later retold as a postgame story in Yokai Watch 3 Sukiyaki.
